Having the same issue if I imported previous year's return. Workaround was to re-enter everything. Support was no helped as they kept mentioning cache and system updates and didn't want to follow up with product engineering. It seems to be related to the new prompt page (securities, crypto, or other). This is a bad user experience.
What is your fix for blank screens using windows.
This happens to me every year. To get around it I have to go to forms.
I am getting real tired of paying for something that does not work.
Thanks
@tedcw69 If you are using TurboTax for Windows, try this for the blank screen problem -
Save your tax return and close the TurboTax program
Right click on the TurboTax icon
Click on Properties
Click on the Compatibility tab
Check the box Run this program as an administrator
Click on Apply and OK
Start the TurboTax program again and see if the problem persists
I need a fix for the blank screen on MacOS 11 for TT2022 desktop edition.
When i click on "update" button for wages/salaries, I see a blank page. So I can't enter my 2022 w2 stubs and therefore can't progress and file my taxes.
Sorry, but this is still an issue. The solution provided is a workaround and does not fix the issue. Is development looking into the issue?
Moving onto another tax software for next year's filing.
Hey @T27
I eventually figured out a workaround - doing it the old school "paper" way.
1) go to View menu at top menu bar
2) select Go To Forms (apple-T)
3) click on Form 1040
4) scroll down to line 1a for W2, double click the empty line/box for that, and manually enter the info there... literally all of it. employer info, your info, wages, taxes withheld...
