I received a CP01A that included my PIN which is 6 digits. The TurboTax software however is only allowing me to enter a 5 digit PIN. Why is this?

Because you are in the wrong part of the interview. The 6-digit IP PIN is entered in another interview topic.
The IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) is a 6-digit PIN provided by the
IRS to certain victims of ID theft. I'll provide 2 methods to get to
the proper entry screen,
Here's how to navigate to enter the IP PIN into TurboTax:
- Log in and open your return ("Take me to my return.")
- Once the return is open click in the top right corner on SEARCH.
- Enter IP PIN without quotes.
- Choose Jump to IP PIN.
Or here's an alternate navigation:
- Federal Taxes tab.
- Subtab Other Tax Situations
- Scroll down to Other Return Info.
- Choose Identity Protection PIN and Start (or Revisit.)

This worked to get me to the correct place to enter the 6 digit PIN, however in the final review it sees the empty 5 digit PIN box as an error. NEVER MIND, it's a Self Select number! (I finally read it!)
