Audit Defense window blocking my efiling process

I am trying to e-file a return and I do not want to buy Audit Defense but Turbotax won't let me opt out through the continue button.  It only gives a choice of methods of payment and won't let get past the window.  How to get around without being forces to pay $45 I don't want to spend?

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons:

• Remove Premium Services
• Remove MAX Defend & Restore
• Remove a state
• Remove PLUS Help & Support
• Remove Pay With Your Refund

I had this same problem and contacted customer service.  This is what we did:  

1. In TurboTax, on the top bar, choose Help.

2. Scroll down to and choose Pay by Phone.

3. Scroll down to and choose State E-File.

4. Follow instructions on the window.  You have to involve customer service which will have a number to call in the window.  They will override the problem.

I'm using TT Advantage (Desktop for Mac), in CA.  Despite opting out of Audit Defense and selecting Pay by Credit Card for the state e-file fee, I was being forced to register for Audit Defense.  The workaround is to e-file federal and state separately.  When you e-file the CA state alone (and chose Pay by Credit Card) it goes to a Confirm billing address rather than the Audit Defense registration screen.
