we always file jointly but this year we separated and my husband gets SSI and Medicaid because of it. so I don't know if I should still file jointly
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You can file jointly without affecting his SSI or medicaid. If you file jointly, you will need to enter his SSA-1099 (if he receives one) on your return.
