Where do I enter estimated taxes paid?

If I search for "estimates paid" and jump to the provided link, it takes me to "other income taxes" in "deductions & credits", but the only options are "payments with extension", "2016 refunds applied to 2017", and "other income taxes paid in 2017", none of which contain estimated taxes.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen.

  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Topic Search
  • Type in estimated tax payments, click on GO

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, though, that takes me to the same place as if I search (screenshotted in the question), which doesn't seem to have estimated taxes.

Yes.

Where do I enter estimated taxes paid?

Hmmmm, that should work.  OR

To enter Federal or State Estimated Taxes Paid, including a state estimated payment made in Jan 2017 for 2016 (or Jan 2018 for 2017) go to

Federal on left

Deductions and Credits at top

Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

Estimated Taxes - click the Start or Update button

hm, mine doesn't look like that... but you inspired me to click enough to find it! There was a button to expand "other tax breaks" at the bottom of deductions and credits, and estimated taxes was buried in there. So I guess the only real bug was that the search thing doesn't take you there. thanks.
