Are my state taxes being paid by your service or do I have to pay them myself to the state?

You have to pay your state taxes on your own. How you pay any taxes due depends on the state.  For example, some states allow a direct debit from your account; some don't. You can always check with your state.gov website to see how payments are taken for your state! Or you could always mail in a check 🙂
