In order to import financial info, I need to generate an app-specific password at the financial institution website, copy it, but then I can't paste it into the app-specific password box in TurboTax. Ctrl-V doesn't work. I can paste the password into a Word Doc but not into TurboTax. The password is a long string of letters and numbers. I carefully type it into the TurboTax box, but I get an invalid message again and again. Then my account at the financial institution is locked and I have to create a new password for my account at the financial institution (not an App-specific pw). How can I import this financial data?

I received a reply from my financial institution that the instructions in the TurboTax app are not correct. I don’t need to use an App-specific password but my regular password that I use for the financial institution website. Even though the TurboTax import page states: Sign in with an app-specific password, instead of your regular ************ password."
TurboTax should correct the instruction in the Windows app!
Nearly an hour of my time wasted today :(
