Asked should the 1099-DIV information imported from my broker match the statement i downloaded?

It can be different.  Maybe t he broker amended the 1099 info.  So your statement or import might be earlier than the new info.  That happened to my friend.   The import from Wells Fargo Broker was different than the statement.  The import had been updated.  Then she got a new statement later that matched.
