I need to amend my 2019 return. I called the IRS and it was received and I got my refund. But TurboTax online won't let me make changes. I need to talk to someone. How do I call and talk to someone?

Amended returns can only be mailed. It is suggested that it be mailed certified with return receipt (or other tracking service) to verify that the IRS receives it.

-- Amended returns can only be mailed - allow 8-12 weeks - can take up to 16 weeks (4 months) for processing.

You can check the status of the amended return here, but allow 3 weeks after mailing.

Mailing it is not the problem. How do I open the file to amend it? I need to undo the Earned Income Credit. I need a person to walk me through this. It won't open.

Never mind. I FINALLY got a live person to help me.

How did you get a live person to help? I was able to amend my return in the software but when it said I COULD efile and tried to do so, the software died and I cannot re-open the program!
