Hello,
I need to amend my 2022. The software will allow me to enter my deduction. I would like to enter the deduction directly in the Schedule 1. Would someone help guide me? Thank you!

Do you have enough Net Profit on Schedule C to use the health ins? Self-employed health insurance deduction goes on Schedule 1 line 17 (which goes to 1040 line 10), as long as the expense is not greater than your net self-employment income. If it does exceed your net self-employment income it gets split automatically. An amount equal to your net self-employment income goes on Schedule 1 and the remainder gets added in to medical expenses on Schedule A.
For Home & Business…..
On the Business tab Click on Business Income and Expenses Update
Click on Edit by your Business
Then under Business Expenses
Go to Other Common Expenses - Insurance Payments
Where to enter Self Employed Health Insurance

I can open my 2022 Home & Business program later and check more. Have you updated the program? Go up to Online-Check for Updates. Maybe update a couple of times. And try updating Windows os. Then reboot a couple times.
What deduction do you need to enter? It is best entered using the interview steps but you should be able to enter it directly using forms form since you have to print and mail a 2022 amended return. Have you tried entering it on schedule 1? You have to right click on the line and override the amount.
I tried right click, one click (left), double click. It’s not letting me enter or override it!?
it wants me to use interview form which does not allow me either! I was at it for 30+minutes. 😅
i’m trying to enter the self-employment health insurance premium. I researched the 2023 which has a form delicate to that. I need all the requirements.

Yes I have net profit. It would not even allow me to enter any digits!
Great, thank you! Sometimes I need to ask for help rather than being hard-nosed.
