What's the difference between these two print options?

For me, the option with all official and TT forms takes more than 100 pages of paper and ink. When I file with desktop, I mail instead of e-file. I would print the option to mail. Then print every single page and form and keep them in a binder.
Now I just save to a thumb drive instead of all the paper, ink, time, and storage space. If I savever needed tax information it was always the 1040. Printing out any forms is about as old fashioned to me as writing checks and addressing envelopes for bills. Now I save everything to an external drive and save the time, ink, and paper.
Each option has more pages then the last ... you should save at least the PDF with all the worksheets (option 3) for your records as well as the .taxfile if you ever need to amend later. Tax file is on the home screen.
Thanks for the responses. Just to be 100% clear, the official forms option is the one to use for filing. Tax return only is for records and doesn't vary much, if at all, from the official forms option. Is that right?
I am not sure where you are seeing ALL OFFICIAL FORMS but in the PRINT CENTER you have 3 option ... just the return is what you need to mail in a return and it is what is sent to the IRS if you efile.
Then options 2 & 3 have the return plus the gov worksheets and then the TT ones.
Maybe in the desktop editions where on the Form Selection screen there is the option All official forms required for filing
That's right ... Desktop is set up differently but they both have the same information/options.
