I have entered in alimony amount of 4,8000.00.

It will not let me e-file my state return because it says the amounts do not match.

Federal shows the amount as $4,800.     and state shows $4,800 (with no period behind it)

Ive tried to change to make them match but state does not allow decimals in the amount and federal makes you put decimals in the amounts.

help !

Be careful with your decimals and zeros.  In this post you used different amounts.  In two places you said $4800 and in another you said $48000.

Did you do that on your return?

also alimony is not deductible nor taxable nor even reportable for any divorce or separation agreement executed after 2018 per the TCJA or for any divorce or separation instrument executed before 2019 and modified after that date if the modification expressly provides that the provision made by the TCJA applies to such modification.
