After beginning our taxes this year I noticed our 2020 taxes were not incorporated so now I think I have to insert all that info again is that correct?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Many users have more than one TurboTax account. If you filed with a different account name last year, your old data would not populate 2021. When you signin use your email or phone number to see all accounts with that phone number or email then use same account as last year. If you use different emails or phone numbers, might have to play with them a bit to find what username you used last year.
Ginnyl I would reach out to the the 800 phone number before manually entering [phone number removed]. If you have the desktop download then request help this way through the Online tab at the top black options. You may be directed to https://turbotaxshare.intuit.com/ where a tech can actually look at your screen and assist you.
Definitely try these ways rather that inserting information from your previous years TT return.
Hope this helps

If last year's return is on the same computer, you can search for it and then transfer all the information forward to the new return. You may need to help the computer find the location of last year's return. If last year is not on the same computer, then you will probably have to re-load the information. Hope this helps.

This is a good suggestion. They should search for a file ending in .tax2020

Thanks for all the help! I think I put my husbands phone number in instead of mine when setting it up. We think that is why it didn’t flow through. Can I correct this?
How do I get the 800 number? The website I went into doesn’t show a number.
Search on your phone number for your 2020 username. You don't need to call.
This FAQ will provide you with the steps to contact an agent.
