A trial run: Can I complete my return, but not file it?

I am going to use my CPA this year, but it might be my last year using a CPA, I might use TurboTax after this year. I would like to go through a trial run: creating my return in TurboTax, and then see how it matches the return my CPA creates. If I find the process simple, and the numbers match, I will use TurboTax and do my own return next year.

My question is, can I go through the process of having TurboTax create my return, but then stop short of filing it? (because my CPA will file this year). I dont want a conflict between the two of us.

Yes you can do this. When you get to the filing screen just don't complete it. Next fall TT will just delete any returns that have not been completed.
