If you inadvertently neglected to file form 8606 for all years that you made non deductible after tax contributions to a traditional IRA and now want to prove these contributions, what do you need to do

I'm no expert on this. But I would first want to know "why" you need to prove your contributions as such. Also, how many years are you talking about here? How far back?
I also forgot to file for the tax year of 2016 and 2017. I know I can still submit it, but I'm wondering what's the best way to do it? Can I do it online? Do I have to mail it in? Can I submit both at the same time?
This seems to be confusing on adding a Form 8606 to this years taxes. I can open the form in Turbo Tax, but I don't see a way to add it to my list of forms to be filed. How do I adde a form to my list?
