$40 processing fee

Why am I getting asked to pay a $40 refund processing fee when I already paid $60 for the desktop software that is supposed to get 5 e-file for free. I've paid and used the desktop software version for years and have never been asked to pay.

For some reason you clicked on Pay with Federal Refund instead of Pay with Credit Card, so you were charged an additional $40 for that option.

Go back to the start of the File section and run through the screens until you get to the one asking you for payment of the $25 state e-file fee and select Pay with Credit Card.
