I was wondering if anyone had insight about the 2nd and 3rd stimulus payments (and we qualify for them both). We just filed our 2019 tax return in March of 2021. We did not receive the 2nd stimulus because they did not have a 2019 tax return until recently. Will we ever get the 2nd stimulus payment? I am not sure if it's retro-active etc. And I assume we will eventually get our 3rd payment because they now have our 2019 tax return.
If anyone knows if we will get the 2nd stimulus that would be awesome to know!

If you did not receive your second stimulus payment, you can claim it on your 2020 tax return as the Recovery Rebate Credit.
In TurboTax Online, to claim the Recovery Rebate credit please do the following:
So you are saying that we will not get the 2nd stimulus check? We'll only be getting a credit on our tax return when we file them?
Yes, if you did not receive the 2nd payment, it must be claimed as a credit on your 2020 tax return as the Recovery Rebate. How do I claim the Recovery Rebate Credit in TurboTax?
They are sending out the 3rd payments now, but they are done sending out the first 2 payments. The 3rd payment will be claimed on the 2021 tax if you don't receive it this year. But you need to claim the second payment on the 2020 return. See link above.
Then do so now if you have not yet filed those tax years :

To file a return for a prior tax year
If you need to prepare a return for 2019, 2020 or 2021 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign, and mail the return(s)
https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/
You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.
Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
Note: The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac. It cannot be used on a mobile device.

Don’t forget your state. And you will have to print and mail your returns. So be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
