If the 2024 refund being applied to your 2025 Tax Return is incorrect, please follow these steps to make a correction:
In TurboTax Online:
- Sign in to TurboTax and open your 2025 return.
- Select Federal from the side menu, then go to Deductions & Credits.
- Scroll down to the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid section and select Show More.
- Find the row for Other Income Taxes and click Start or Revisit.
- Look for the section titled 2024 Refund Applied to 2025 Taxes.
- Click Edit or Update next to the Federal or State entry and enter the correct $468 amount.
in TurboTax Desktop:
- Open your 2025 return.
- Select the Federal tab from the top of your screen and then select Deductions & Credits.
- Select I'll choose what I work on.
- Scroll down to the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid section and select Start or Update next to Other Income Taxes.
- Select Start or Update next to 2024 Refund Applied to 2025 Taxes (Choose Federal or State depending on your situation).
- Enter the correct $468 2024 Refund Applied to 2025.
