I'm executor for my Mother's estate. She passed away in April 2021. She did not receive the 3rd stimulus payment (correctly) because her 2020 income was above the limit. Her 2021 income (3 months) was well below the limit. TurboTax is calculating that she is eligible (assuming based on 2021 income) and adding the $1400 to her refund, saying that IRS may review. This may be correct but doesn't feel right. I would prefer to override TurboTax and not claim the payment. Is there any way to do that?

Yes, just enter the $1,400 as received during the year rather than $0. This will eliminate the $1,400 Recovery Rebate Credit from her refund.
The IRS may still review the return and payout the Credit if they deem it's supposed to be paid.
We're sorry for your loss!
Thanks for the help.
