2021 recovery rebate credit amount

I am trying to figure out if I got the correct amount for the 2021 recovery rebate credit.  My 2021 AGI was $146,000.  It is myself, my husband, and 3 kids, who are all dependents and not claimed by anyone else.  We received $3500 as the third stimulus rebate. I was under the impression it was $1400 per person, including dependents.  Would that mean it should have been $7000? Do I need to do anything? I filed using turbotax.

Look at your 2021 Form 1040 and see what is on line 30.  That is the line that would show the recovery rebate credit.    And ....check your IRS online account to see what the IRS shows for your 3rd EIP payment.  A lot of people got really confused for that tax year with the stimulus checks and advance child tax credit payments and received money they did not even understand.

If it seems that you are still eligible for any of the 2021 stimulus money, file an amended 2021 return by no later than April 15, 2025 to seek the recovery rebate credit.
