I received a notice from the IRS explaining changes in my 2018 Form 1040 return. The notice stated I had to pay $1,841 and I did in December of 2020. Is this something I am able to claim on my 2020 taxes, and if so, in which section do I complete it?? Thank you for your help.

There’s no deduction for payment of your federal tax liability.
however, some states use the federal taxes paid in the year for computing the state taxes. so do you have state income taxes? if so, what state?
We do have state income taxes. It is the state of Illinois.
Illinois does not have a deduction for Federal taxes paid, so this will not assist your Illinois return, either.
