1099 NEC used wrong EIN

I received 1099 NEC last tax year and now for 2022 and just realized I gave them the wrong EIN (was off by one digit). This 1099 NEC is for a grantor trust. Not sure what I should do?  I imagine I can ask them to update the EIN for 2022 reporting but not sure what I should do for 2021. I reported the income on the trust return though the income passed through to the grantor whom paid the tax obligation. Thank you for any insight,

Yes, you should get the 2022 information updated.  They will receive a notice from the IRS that the 2021 information is incorrect and they can provide the updated information since you have updated it now.  You do not need to do anything for 2021 as long as you reported the income correctly on your returns.
