business name is too long for the box. When I get ready to e-file ,the full name does not appear as I entered it.

How do I reduce font size??? I'm using TT Business for Windows and e-filing 1099s

The full name is immaterial ... reduce it in some way or just enter all the letters until you run out of space. The only thing that needs to be correct on that form is the 9 digit EIN.

Before I hit e-file, does this generate the 1096 to submit to IRS and a copy sent electronically to tthe recipient? I don't see the 1096 when I click print.

If not, how do you e-file the 1096?

In QEF when you click on the EFILE option the forms are sent to the IRS or the SSA depending on which forma are filed and YOU need to print off the forms to issue to the employee or sub contractor.
