1099 Misc

I downloaded my tax details from my broker (1099 B, 1099 DIV and 1099 Misc).  The 1099 Misc has $0 in it but there is a State Id missing in Box 16 and 17.  TT is not letting me get past it (but in an adjascent box it says TX/nnnnnnnnnn.  Should I just enter TX in 16 & 17?

If you do not have an amount in Box 15 (State Withholding) you can delete what is in Box 16 and Box 17.

Thanks Kurt.  There is no amount in 15 but 16 & 17 are blank and TT wants an entry in those..  Box 13 says TX so I assume I can put TX in 16 & 17 too ?

You can delete all the entries in boxes 15, 16, and 17. Texas does not have an income tax. The information in boxes 15-17.
