1099-MISC USING FED TAX ID
I worked as a Private Duty Nurse in 2018. I got a fed tax id. I wish that I'd have used my SSN, but I thought I HAD to have one.
I have a 1099-MISC using my fed tax ID. Do I have to file a separate return just for that? I have added the income to my current tax form but TurboTax doesn't allow me to change the recipient's ID number.
Please advise
Thank you
TJ

1099-MISC USING FED TAX ID
You federal Tax ID (EIN) is linked to your SSN. So it is quite correct to report the 1099-MISC with your EIN on your personal tax return. You do not need to change the recipient's ID number in TurboTax.
