1099-Int with Box 3 for US Savings bonds

I have a 1099-INT from the bank where I cashed in my savings bonds. I have entered in box 3 that is for savings bonds.  Why is turbo tax listing the interest as double than what is on the 1099?

Double check your entry and make sure you only have one Form 1099-INT entered into your return.  If necessary you can delete it and then re-enter it. I have not had this experience.

After your delete it and before you re-enter it follow the steps here.  Clear your cache and cookies. It handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis. 

• Close your TurboTax return first.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and select to enter your income. 

1. Select Federal in the left menu and then Wages & Income, OR 
2. Search (upper right) type 1099int > Jump to... link
3. Begin your entry
