I am trying to e-file my taxes but am stuck at the very end in an error loop that does not let me file.
The message says, "PFML or SDI should not be checked unless the payment is from a state that issues paid family leave or state disability insurance payments."
The box is checked, and it would appear the system wants me to uncheck it. Leaving it checked, I am not able to proceed. I keep getting sent back to this screen.
This is implies I live in a state that doesnt provide PFML, but I do. Both myself and my spouse received it from CA and have a 1099-G. It also says specifically on the 1099-G that this is income for "Paid Family Leave."
I am not sure what to do. It says if the error cannot resolve I have to file by mail. Please help!
