1099-B

my 1099 B has neither an acquisition date nor a cost basis. From my records, the acquisition date was 3/19/2024., so I can enter that manually, but I still don't have a cost basis. The sold date was 4/2/2024. I called the company, and they don't have it. Turbotax will not let me finish without the cost basis.  I don't know what to do.

If you cannot find the cost basis, you would need to enter $0.  You will be taxed on the entire amount then.

Before entering 0, you may want to check your trading history or use historical data from a trading site like Yahoo finance to find out the price on that date.
