1095A insurance premium doesnt ask if my spouse is eligible for affordable care from employer

I am a student  and enrolled in a marketplace plan for part of 2021. On the marketplace, if my spouse is eligible through her job for insurance  which would be "affordable" even for  herself only,  I could not get a premium tax credit.  I got a 1095-A so I have to enter the information , showing no advance tax credit. However I do not see anywhere that Turbotax asks me about my spouse's job insurance, so it is granting me an insurance premium tax credit that I think is in error, I don't think I am eligible for the credit.  I thought I could just not enter the 1095A info, but it says my return will be rejected if I do not enter it.

If the 1095-A only covers you, there won't be any questions for your spouse unless you live in a state that has mandatory health insurance coverage requirements. For federal tax purposes, your spouse's 1095-B/1095-C form is not entered in TurboTax.

After you enter your 1095-A, based on your income situation, the correct amount of premium tax credit will be calculated.

The IRS won't process your return unless you file Form 8962 with your return.

When should I include Form 8962 with my tax return?

1095A insurance premium doesnt ask if my spouse is eligible for affordable care from employer

You wrote to me "unless you live in a state that has mandatory health insurance coverage requirements".

I do live in a state with mandatory health insurance coverage. It just asked me if everyone had insurance, but nothing about the eligibility of my spouse for employer-sponsored insurance . (Happens to be although she has that offer from her employer, she did not use their insurance.)

So which is correct- are we eligible for a premium tax credit as per turbotax, or not eligible, as the marketplace website where I purchased the insurance seemed to indicate?

Note: My wife did have "paid family leave" which came in as "unemployment" on 1099G so that Turbotax also checked "yes" for "did either of you have unemployment"..

If your household income was low enough, you would qualify, regardless if your spouse had a job which offered health insurance. If the software calculates a credit, it is because of both the form entered and total income.
