1040NR If I only collected UEI
I live in Canada and a Canadian citizen. I was let go in 2023 after working in Michigan and only collected unemployment in the US in 2024. I was in the US maybe 4 days for non business reasons. Am I correct in assuming that I still need to file a 1040NR for the unemployment payments?

Yes you will need to file a 1040 NR return for the unemployment benefits paid in 2024. The Turbo Tax program does not handle non -resident returns but our affiliate at Sprint Tax does. Please contact them here for further information.
