1. I need to file a 1099 MISC form. Is there a way I can do so without upgrading? 2. I have other 1099 MISC forms from 2014 and 2015. How can I add them to my taxes?

If I have to pay, can it be deducted from my return?

A 1099-MISC form cannot be filed using the Free Edition because it requires form 1040 which is not available with the free edition. You would need to upgrade. If you have a big enough refund, you can pay your fees out of your federal refund. There is a $34.99 extra processing fee to pay fees from your federal refund.

There is another free product that you can use for a 1099-MISC if your total income is $33,000 or less. It's called the Freedom Edition. Use this link to check it out: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2026912-how-do-i-switch-to-turbotax-freedom-edition

You cannot file a 2014 or 2015 1099-MISC on your 2016 tax return. You must file those using the tax program for each of those years. You can buy it here from TurboTax: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

Thank you, this helped a lot. So if I use the Freedom Edition, can I solely use it for the 1099? I had to create another account. I already (not yet submitted) put in my W2 information separately.

Everything must be on one tax return. You must enter everything into the Freedom Edition if that is the product you are going to use to file your tax return.
