TurboTax Update due to Big Beautiful Bill Tax

Will there be an update for 2024 TurboTax Deluxe with the new tax regulations due to the New One Big Beautiful Tax Bill so that we can properly calculate 2025 estimated Taxes? If so when might that update be available? Thanks

Probably not. The newly passed tax bill has no effect whatsoever on your 2024 tax return, so it is unlikely that TT will change anything in the 2024 software because of the new tax laws that may affect your returns for 2025, 2026 or beyond.

@SCswede the IRS has not yet provided detailed guidance to any of the software firms that provide tax software. I suspect it'll be 60-90 days until ANY firm is able to provide something.

If most of your income is W-2 or pension income, the withholdings are not being adjusted until Jan 1. So chances are you will get a larger refund / owe less comes tax time.

You could use the estimate available in the 2024 version and manual adjust, based on your tax bracket. Just take the change and multiply by your tax bracket - that will be close enough for the time being.
