It depends on the type of asset you sold or stopped using. In most cases, when you report that you sold an asset, TurboTax will ask you for the sale information later in the asset interview section.
Begin by clicking Edit/Update next to Asset/Depreciation (or Sale of Assets/Depreciation) from the summary page for your business/farm/rental property. Continue to the Asset Summary page, then click Start/Update beside the asset that you sold.
Continue to a page like "Did you stop using...?" or "Tell us more..." where you can indicate that you sold the asset. Follow the prompts to enter the sales price and any selling expenses. Be sure to read the blue links ("Learn More") if you need help on any screens.
Your entries in this section will report the sale on the appropriate forms of your tax return.
