Will my child care provider have to pay taxes on their payments i have made to them?

Yes.   When you claim the childcare credit you have to enter the Social Security number or Tax ID of the childcare provider.  The IRS matches up that entry with the tax return filed by your babysitter.

Yes. The IRS usually considers childcare providers as independent contractors. As self-employed, they need to report their self employment income and expenses on schedule C.
