Why does TT say I will be getting a W-2c ?

For both my and my daughter's returns, TT says that we will be getting a W-2c because we had deferred social security withholding.  Checking the math comparing SS withholding to last years rate, it's the same. The correct amount seems to have been withheld.  Why is it saying this? Is it a Pandemic related tax changes?  Since it shows up on my daughters and mine and I didn't get this message a few days ago, I'm thinking it might be a bug from one of the latest  software updates. Is anyone else getting this message?  Thanks

Yes.. a recent update which will confuse thousands of folks

It is supposedly a "helpful" notice (which is may not be helpful) , and does not change, or stop your filing of taxes in any way.

It is likely just a calculation  screw-up in the software...that does not affect your taxes in any way.

Just edit each W-2 you entered, and make sure box 4 is entered to be the same number as on your paper/PDF W-2 from that employer.  If box 4 is 6.2% of box 3...then nothing is wrong, and ignore that notice entirely.

I appreciate the fast and helpful response.  I am sure my numbers for withholding are correct and match the W2s so I will go ahead and file.   I just appreciate having the confirmation.  Thanks!
