Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. If your child was born in 2021make sure you said he lived with you the whole year.  There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support.  Say NO to that question.

Is the child listed as a dependent on your tax return?    Go back through the dependent questions and make sure you have entered everything in that section.   There are a couple of questions that if answered wrong will cause the dependent not to show up as eligible for the credit.

Check the months lived with you question.   If the child was born in 2021, make sure you indicate the child lived with you the WHOLE YEAR.   If you enter less than 6 months here, it will cause an issue.    The second question that causes issues is the question about your child providing their own support.   You do not want to indicate that the child supported themselves or that other family members provided the support.

If none of you 3 received any of the stimulus payments in 2021 - your recovery rebate credit should be $4200.   But you should check your IRS account to be sure that you were not issued the payments before you claim the credit.   If you claim it and they already sent it, they will delay the processing of your return.   ;(
