where do i enter 2024 HSA contributions that i made on my own...not through my employer

In the deductions and credits section scroll down to 'Medical'.  Your HSA gets entered in the first line item in that section.

still not seeing where i need to enter the dollar amount of my hsa contributions...the section allows me to enter 1099-SA hsa distribution amount...but not the contribution amount...

1. Go back and select edit for that 1099-SA
2. (or enter the 1099-SA and report distributions if you have not already done so)
3. When you get to the "Here's what we have so far" screen, the HSA should be listed and you should select the blue Done button
4. "Did you inherit this HSA?" select "No"
5. "Did you put money into an HSA in 2024?" select "Yes"
