When I edit my charitable contributions to add more, why does the non-itemized donations total not update? (I'm taking the standard deduction)

When I got to the point where TT had checked our deductions and determined we should stick with the standard deduction, it brought me to a screen that said we could still deduct up to $600 in cash donations (married, jointly). I entered $290 for the total, and later found records of additional donations that brought our total up over $600. I've gone back and edited the charitable donations section under deductions to include those additional donations. Now I can see $613 as the total in that section, but our refund didn't change, and when I click to see a refund breakdown, it shows non-itemized charitable donations totaling $290 (the original figure I entered) as a deduction. I can't figure out how to get that number to update, because adding the other donations in the deduction section only seems to be counting toward an itemized total. Is there a way to navigate back to the screen where I specifically was asked for the non-itemized cash donations total for this year?

After more than an hour on the phone with customer service reps who couldn't help, I managed to find this post that contained a solution that worked for me: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-credits-deductions/discussion/form-1040-line-12b-programming-e....

After using the Delete a form tool to get rid of all the donations I'd entered, this time when I clicked Wrap up tax breaks it finally took me back to the screen I'd been trying to get back to this whole time: Charitable Cash Contributions under Cares Act. Once there, it was as simple as editing the field that still showed $290.

They must be added as cash donations.

Try selecting "Itemized" and running a review.

Go back and select "Standard" so the amount can update.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I did enter them as cash donations. Forgive me, but I'm not sure where exactly you're referring to when you say to click "itemized" and run a review, then select "standard" again. I'm looking under Federal > Deductions & Credits and I'm having trouble finding a place where I can update whether I'm itemizing or taking the standard deduction.
