No, unfortunately, the energy credit you are thinking of has not been renewed by Congress for 2018. They could still renew it and you could amend your return later, but it seems very late for them to do that. Congress usually renews these much earlier in the year or at the end of the year prior.

There seem to be a shift in focus to alternative energy credits. 

Under the Residential Energy Efficient Property Credit, you can get a federal tax credit in 2018 for installing alternative energy equipment, such as solar electric property, solar water heaters, geothermal heat pumps, small wind turbines, and fuel cell property.
