We installed a qualifying heat pump in 2024, but Turbo Tax did not give us get the home energy credit of $2,000. There was no explanation. Any suggestions?

We fulfill all the requirements listed. It is a 24SEER CEE Tier 1 product, in the US, at our primary residence.

It is a nonrefundable credit, so if you have no tax liability to apply it to, you won't get the credit. You can view Form 5695 - Part ll Line 31 to see if the credit was limited by your tax liability. What is Line 22 of your Form 1040?
