Donations to high public schools sports are tax deductible, since the IRS considers public schools as "branches" of state government. If donation exceeds $250, please ask school for a letter confirming your donation.
To enter/edit charitable contributions:
1. Open your return (or continue if open).
2. Type “charitable contributions” (upper-case works too) in Search box (upper right-hand corner of the screen)
3. Click on “Jump to charitable contributions” link.
4. Answer screen interview prompts.
