I have lived and worked in the UK for 1.5 years. I hold a Canadian and American passport. I have a UK work visa through my Canadian passport. Do I need to file US taxes?

Yes, you do. Since you are a US citizen, you are required to file a US tax return reporting worldwide income. If you qualify, you might be able to claim a foreign income exclusion. See Foreign Earned Income Exclusion.
