Are you trying to change form 8889 in Forms mode? Please don't.
Instead go back to the Personal Info/My Info section and change your birthdate so that TurboTax realizes your age.

I don't think so. Section 223(b)(3)(A):
In the case of an individual who has attained age 55 before the close of the taxable year, the applicable limitation under subparagraphs (A) and (B) of paragraph (2) shall be increased by the additional contribution amount.
The prorating of the catch-up only applies with respect to eligibility to make any HSA contribution (if the individual is not eligible on December 1).
