TP Student Status Retirement Credit?

TurboTax has found an error in my federal return and is asking me to check an entry. It wants to know whether "Federal Information Worksheet: TP Student Status Retirement Credit should be checked". I am given 3 options: No entry, Taxpayer student - Yes, or Taxpayer student - No.

Can anyone shed some light on what this means? My spouse was a less than part-time student for a part of 2021, but otherwise I am not sure what TurboTax is referring to. Thank you!

TP Student Status Retirement Credit?

If your spouse qualifies for the Retirement Savings Credit because they contributed to a retirement plan at work, check NO for 'taxpayer student'.   They can't claim this credit if they were a student.

However, if you are claiming an Education Credit for your spouse's education expenses, you may want to indicate YES for 'taxpayer student' to be eligible for this credit, if it is more than the Saver's Credit amount.
