Can I deduct gym memberships for being an egg donor since the qualifications to donate are that you be within your BMI and be in good mental and physical health?

Unfortunately no. Unless the doctor wrote a prescription for the gym membership the IRS does not consider it a qualified medical expense, therefore it is non-deductible.

Unfortunately no. Unless the doctor wrote a prescription for the gym membership the IRS does not consider it a qualified medical expense, therefore it is non-deductible.

The health care system wants you to be sick not healthy so medical expenses are deductible, but exercise expenses are not.
