In turbotax, Child Tax credit shows only one Child, not the newly added child, now tax credit is only $1000 instead of $2000

Have 2 Child, 4 year and 1 month old child added both of them as dependent ,In Turbo tax as part of Child Tax credit section shows only one Child, not the newly added child, and there is no option to calculate child tax credit for next child, So, in the end Child Tax credit is only $1000 instead of $2000

In that case do as bees advised (indicate that the child lived with you the entire year)

Go back to the questions in the personal section where you added the new baby and make sure that you said that the child lived with you all year, no matter when the child was born during the year. That should fix your issue.

OOPs   was the child born in 2016?  If a January baby 2017, you will have to wait til next year.
