You do not have to file an amended return just to add the Injured Spouse, you can send the form in separately and the IRS will make the adjustments and send you the additional refund. (This is also faster because the processing time for the amended returns is really long now). You can go back into TurboTax to prepare the Injured Spouse form and look up where to send it to at IRS.gov/Filing/Where-To-File-Paper-Tax-Returns-With-Or-Without-a-Payment.

Can I just go back on my TurboTax account and file the injured spouse form
@Turtlegirl74 You can go back to your TurboTax account and just file the injured spouse form. However, you need to enter that in the Amend/Change return section of TurboTax, and that option is not available as of 2/18/22. It will be available in the coming days or weeks however. You will find that option on your Tax Home page, and then Your tax returns and documents.
You need to enter the Amend Return section to complete the injured spouse routine, which is in the Other Tax Situations section, then Other Tax Forms, then Miscellaneous tax forms and then Report an injured or innocent spouse claim. Once you have completed the section, you can print out the form 8379 and mail it in. You can than cancel your amended return.
