Tax Year Prior to 2020: Where do I add the expences on food? i couldn't figure it out. I have a lot of reciepts with meetings over coffee and lunch. and I have those receipts saved.

Also last year our tax preparer deducted other eat out that we did as a family where my husband and I would talk about business. is that seperate or same category?  I'm sorry it's my first time doing this by myself.  Turbo style 🙂

They go in the Meals and Entertainment area of Other Common Business Expenses.   While inside the software and working on your return, type Schedule C in the Search at the top of the screen (you may see a magnifying glass there).  There will be a popup that says Jump to Schedule C.  Select that to get to the general area. 

• then, Business Income and Expenses
• select Edit next to your business (if it is there)
• scroll to Business Expenses
• then, Other Common Business Expenses
• select that, then on the next screen you will see Meals and Entertainment
