Have others encountered this when entering stock sales using TurboTax for 2023 taxes?
If I enter stock sales by Section Totals then go to Forms View, Capital Assets Sales. At the bottom of the screen, it says "You'll need to mail a paper copy (of 1099-B) to the IRS".
This does not occur if I use the One By One option but that runs the risk of entry errors if one has many transactions.
Is this a new requirement or because I sold stock and funds with a basis that was Not reported to the IRS?

when entering summary totals code M must be used. you'll also need to complete form 8453 and check the box 8949. you should then be able to e-file your return
you must follow the 8453 instructions for mailing it with the 1099-B attached.

me thinks the Turbotax warning really refers to the 8453 and 1099-B mailing.
hopefully, by stock sections you mean types A,B,C, D, E,F and X.
Thanks Mike
Shouldn't TurboTax take care of this?
More Info Since Posting - I have found that when using Section Totals, the Must Mail occurs as soon as I enter Long or Short Term NOT reported to the IRS. Boxes B and E.
