I and my partner have several kids together.  I filed as head of household in both 2019 and 2020 with my partner as an adult dependent in addition to our kids.   My partner received the first stimulus check, but not the second.  I made $50k she made $1.5K in 2020.  When my partner prepares their tax return as an adult dependent, the software does not allow any entry for stimulus payments.  I have included the stimulus payment on my tax return.  Is this correct????

You don’t need to do anything to get your stimulus check. The IRS will determine eligibility based on your last tax return, either 2019 or 2020, and will likely send your payment to the bank account where your tax refund was deposited.

As part of the income tax filing, the IRS receives accurate banking information for all TurboTax filers who received a tax refund, which the IRS is able to use to quickly and effectively deposit stimulus payments.

That was no my question.  I need to record the receipt of the the first stimulus payment erroneously received by my partner.  They cannot enter it on their adult dependent tax return filing.  As head of household, should I include my partners stimulus payment with the stimulus payments I've received on my tax return???

No, on your return you will only enter the stimulus payments that you have actually received. This is only entered to see if you qualify for additional payments in form of the Recovery Rebate Credit. You will not qualify for the credit for dependents that are 17 and older in 2020.

Also, you and your partner do not need to report that your partner received the first stimulus payment in error. If she received it because of prior years information, then she can keep the payment.
